Theatre in Education (T.I.E)

At Helston Community College, I formed a Theatre in Education group. We met on a Wednesday afternoon and the students named themselves Treehouse Productions. They designed a logo and we had t-shirts printed to really become a company.

A piece of original theatre was created in response to a Balinese fairy-tale all about the importance keeping promises.

The students also created a workshop and teachers’ follow up pack. We visited some local primary schools and performed to year 4 pupils. My students then led a workshop with the children and they shared what they had created afterwards.
